Nick Fluellen, CCIM
Senior Managing Director
Nick Fluellen joined Marcus & Millichap in 2004 as a multifamily agent focused exclusively on assisting clients with the acquisition and disposition of multifamily properties. Since then, he has successfully closed more than 360 transactions totaling more than $2 Billion in value. He works closely with all types of investors and successfully leverages Marcus & Millichap’s unique national platform to achieve unparalleled results for his clients. Over the years, he has developed a strategic process that is flexible, efficient and most importantly, effective. Along with his market knowledge, he utilizes his vast network of industry contacts to provide his clients with the most accurate and up to date information regarding current market conditions, allowing his clients to make informed decisions about their real estate investment needs. He has also assembled a team of highly qualified real estate professionals to assist clients throughout every aspect of the transaction process.
His continued success and track record for helping his clients to maximize their returns has garnered him numerous accolades, both locally and nationally. He has received nine National Achievement Awards and Sales Achievement Awards, and has perennially been recognized as a “Heavy Hitter” by the Dallas Business Journal and a “Power Broker” by D CEO Magazine.
Fluellen earned his CCIM designation in 2007, a difficult accomplishment that demonstrates his commitment to self-development. He also has a master’s degree from Texas A&M University in Land Economics and Real Estate (LERE), as well as an undergraduate degree in marketing. He is also a licensed broker with the State of Texas.
He is married to Brianna, who is a dentist in Richardson, Texas. They are active members of Canyon Creek Country Club. They have three children, Brady, Rhett and Eva and attend Watermark Community Church in Dallas. Fluellen is also an avid sports fan and enjoys golf, softball, basketball, and running.
Senior Vice President
Bard Hoover joined Marcus & Millichap in January of 2010. He started his real estate career nearly 30 years ago focusing solely on multifamily assets. Over the course of his career, Hoover has been involved in the successful sales of more than $1 Billion in value. He combines his years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the multifamily industry with Marcus & Millichap’s powerful research services to provide his clients with expert guidance beyond the acquisition and disposition of multifamily assets. Through his advisory services, his goal is to develop long-term relationships with his clients by analyzing their individual needs and providing clear evaluation of market conditions, as well as the option available culminating with the team’s recommendations.
Prior to his association with Marcus & Millichap, he was an executive vice president at The Apartment Group and served in a COO capacity where he was involved in all aspects of marketing Class A institutional multifamily properties ranging in value between $20 million and $60 million. Before joining The Apartment Group, he was the president of Bentley Arbuckle, Inc. where he was responsible for all strategy, business operations, and branding for the $6 million manufacturing company. Hoover was promoted from national sales manager to vice president in 2000 and to president in 2004.
His real estate career started in 1985 as an appraiser for the Wilson K. Mason Company. Hoover joined CB Commercial Real Estate Services in 1990 and was a member of the multifamily team where he helped package, underwrite and sell multifamily properties totaling more than $180 million.
Hoover graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He is married to Kathryn, and they have two children, Jackson and Amon. They are active members of St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Dallas.
Trey Caldwell joined the Fluellen │ Hoover Multifamily team of Marcus & Millichap in 2014. He brings with him a wealth of sales experience and employs an advisory approach to achieve the investment needs of his clients. He looks beyond the transaction and instead analyzes the past, current and future investment goals of his clients. He focuses on providing his clients with several investment options and scenarios, creating an environment which allows his clients to make informed decisions for their financial future. When he combines his advisory-based strategy with Marcus & Millichap’s powerful nationwide platform, his clients receive expert insight regarding net operating income maximization, accurate market pricing and evaluation, and attain maximum exposure for their assets. He continually exceeds his clients’ expectations and achieves maximum value for his clients.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Caldwell was a sales consultant with Sewell Automotive Companies. While at Sewell, he recognized the value of building client relationships and the importance of conducting business with integrity. He quickly established a reputation as an expert in negotiation and maintaining gross profit, while caring for clients at an exceptionally high level.
A Dallas native, Caldwell grew up in Richardson, Texas, a suburb in Far North Dallas. He graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in finance. He has also traveled extensively for international mission efforts to such places as Honduras, Mexico, and various parts of the United States. Mr. Caldwell and his wife Katy attend Watermark Community Church in Dallas.
Preston Kirkpatrick joined the Fluellen | Hoover Multifamily team of Marcus & Millichap in 2017 as an investment specialist focusing on class B and C assets in the Dallas – Fort Worth area. He brings with him a wealth of commercial real estate experience from his time in Central Florida and is transitioning that knowledge to better serve clients in North Texas.
While attending the University of Florida, he began his real estate career as an Acquisitions Director for a major home renovation specialist, focusing on value add properties in emerging submarkets. He later joined forces with the region’s top-producing multifamily broker, working together to expand the operation from secondary and tertiary markets into more lucrative primary markets. In 2016, he obtained a Florida State Real Estate License and brokered his first multi-million dollar commercial listing. During that same year, he partnered with a local investment group and brokered 15 transactions.
He is an active member in the community, serving as a construction worker for Habitat for Humanity, a Young Gun Volunteer for The Real Estate Council and a Young Leader for the Urban Land Institute. Preston is also a candidate member for the CCIM Institute.
He lives in Dallas, TX and attends St. Monica Catholic Church.
Sean Scott joined Marcus & Millichap in 2015 as an agent specializing in multifamily properties and secondary markets for the Fluellen | Hoover Multifamily team. He brings many years of corporate marketing expertise to help maximize property exposure, and effectively communicate property benefits, to the most qualified and likely buyers. He brings his passion for, and experience in, real estate investment to the team that has established itself as the premier multifamily group in Texas.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Scott served as Vice President and CIO of Ameritest, a brand and advertising consultancy for the world’s largest marketers, including Chase, Citi, Verizon, IBM, Kellogg’s, McDonald’s, Hasbro, and many more. He consulted with several of the company’s key clients, and also developed the operations team and created support software and vendor relationships that gave the company the ability to deliver results in less than a quarter of the time of their competitors
Mr. Scott graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in business administration and a focus on management information systems. He is married to Robyn, and they have four children, Clara, Collin, Chloe and Caleb. They are active members of Watermark Community Church in Dallas.
Evan Burke joined Marcus & Millichap in 2015 as an agent specializing in multifamily properties. Burke is well versed in multifamily assets situated in the major areas of Dallas, as well as its sprawling and ever-expanding network of suburbs. Growing up in Texas, he has acquired an in-depth knowledge of the area and has witnessed the numerous changes within the city’s economic and development landscape. Since joining Marcus & Millichap, Burke has established himself with numerous investors in the area through his detail oriented and goal driven approach. He has a distinctive skill for seeing the big picture behind his client’s goals, while understanding the complex process and actions necessary to attain these goals. The combination of his market expertise and his ability to build strong client relationships enables Burke to surpass his client’s expectations time after time. Burke continues to deliver the superior advisory services that have made Marcus & Millichap an industry leader nationwide for years.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Burke had a successful career in education. A former high school teacher and coach, he spent a great deal of time listening to the needs of his students and continually sought the best methods to construct the most optimal academic environment for all his students. Through his teachings, he inspired his students to achieve their goals and reach success in several arenas some never thought possible. Only after his own dealings with real estate investments did Burke realize he could apply the same drive, passion and commitment he had for his students to the commercial real estate industry. He utilizes his adaptable and collaborative methods to create customized and strategic solutions unique to each of his clients, paving the way for their individual financial and investment achievements.
Burke graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and obtained his Master of Arts in theological studies from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Burke, his wife, Sarah, and their two daughters currently reside in Highland Village and are active members of The Village Church.
John McGregor joined the Fluellen | Hoover Multifamily team at Marcus & Millichap in 2018 with a specialized focus on Secondary Markets. A commercial real estate agent since 2004, he brings forward years of experience and in-depth knowledge to his clients as a trusted advisor. His focus is on providing the most detailed, accurate and current market data to assist his clients in developing the most informed investment decisions. This and the combination of Marcus & Millichap’s nationwide platform delivers consistent, expectation-exceeding results for his clients.
Prior to moving to Dallas, John lived in Bend, Oregon for many years, where he was a commercial real estate agent, business owner, and avid mountain biker. He has a history of creating long-term relationships and values the relationships created through his advisory services. Before his career in commercial real estate, John has owned and operated successful businesses, including a start-up business that grew to a multi-location, multimillion dollar company. His business and entrepreneurial background has proven to be an asset for his current clients.
John has 2 boys, Cole and Alec. He is proud to call Texas home since 2012.

Matt Aslan joined Marcus & Millichap in 2016 as an agent specializing in multifamily assets for the Fluellen | Hoover Multifamily Team. He brings more than nine years of experience focusing in banking center management and business lending in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Over the years, Aslan has developed a passion for advising clients to help them exceed their financial goals and achieve economic success while maintaining a high level of customer service. He delivers results by listening and understanding his clients’ goals and providing investment strategies based on his market knowledge and expertise. By utilizing an advisory approach, he empowers his clients to make crucial investment choices with confidence while building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and industry professionals alike.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Aslan served as a Vice President and Market Leader for BB&T Bank. He managed and supported the performance of a banking center with emphasis on consumer and business lending, balanced growth, and profitability of the bank’s deposit products. He proactively initiated, developed, and managed profitable long-term relationships with consumer and business clients. He led a branch team to consistently provide robust customer service with every client, offer financial solutions that best fit each client’s need, and collaborated with business owners to understand their business from ground up while offering valuable market trend knowledge that assisted their business to increase revenues.
Aslan graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s of Science in finance. He has lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex for nearly 20 years and attends Watermark Community Church in Dallas.

Joseph Murry joined Marcus & Millichap in 2015 as a financial analyst and has since become an agent specializing in multifamily assets. He brings more than eight years of experience focusing on commercial real estate sales and consulting for corporate and private clients. Over the years, Murry has established himself as a trusted advisor with a client-centric approach to achieve superior results and build lasting long-term relationships with his clients.
Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Murry served as a Real Estate Portfolio Account Manager for Mohr Partners, a corporate real estate firm focusing on national tenant advisory and consultancy for office, retail, and industrial tenants. In this role, he negotiated numerous complex real estate transactions and managed the entire due diligence process.
Murry graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Economics. He has lived in Dallas/Fort Worth for over 30 years and currently resides in Lake Highlands with his wife Elissa, and their young daughter Avery. They attend Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas.
Kirk Tardy joined the Fluellen | Hoover team in 2008 as the marketing coordinator responsible for the creation, production and execution of all marketing material and campaigns. He has more than 15 years of marketing experience and has an extensive background across numerous marketing platforms from photography, data and graphic visualization, content presentation, print, web user behavior and email campaigns. For each and every client, he creates unique and highly customized material across a multitude of mediums ensuring maximum exposure for all offerings. His use of cutting edge technology results in content that is impactful, clear and precise. Tardy methodically pushes the boundary beyond industry standards by incorporating his expert knowledge of user expectations, marketing and technological practices. He continually stays ahead of major design developments and presentation trends within the commercial real estate industry and beyond.
Tardy is also a professional photographer and was previously a licensed real estate agent. He leverages his strengths from both professions to produce unsurpassed marketing material for the clients of the Fluellen | Hoover team. His industry experience allows him to create eye-catching graphics focused on the optimal representation of every asset. His technical experience ensures all data, graphics and information translate smoothly across all devices and mediums.
Tardy attended Texas Tech University and studied finance with a concentration in real estate. He and his wife, Andrea, reside in Denton, Texas with their three children, Kadence, Hayden, and Greyson. They are also active members of Denton Bible Church.
Senior Financial Analyst
Nila Neik joined Marcus & Millichap in January 2013. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in biology and a business certificate from the McCombs School of Business. Mrs. Neik also received an MBA in real estate analysis from the University of North Texas and completed the CCIM financial analysis course. While still in graduate school, she assisted a local brokerage firm with underwriting, marketing and selling multifamily assets throughout Texas. She is also an investor, currently owning and managing multiple properties throughout the Dallas area.
She is married to William, a consultant with McKinsey & Company. They both dedicate significant time to Operation Back to School, a charity which Mrs. Neik established in 2007 to provide backpacks and school supplies to underprivileged children in the Dallas area. They are active members of All Saints Catholic Church in Dallas.
Lori Warlick is a Wisconsin native who made Texas home after serving in the United States Air Force. She attended college in both Wisconsin and Texas, studying administration and accounting. She joined Marcus & Millichap in September 2005, and is an essential member of the team. Aside from being the first point of contact with many of our clients, she manages the flow of information through our strategic process, coordinates the due diligence items, actively oversees the escrow process, and assists with the marketing management. Her insightful character, pleasant temperament, breadth of professional experience, and attention to detail make Warlick an invaluable asset to the team. She is married to Jimmy and they have two children, Rachel and Jenna. They are active members of First United Methodist Church in Rowlett.
